I SO late to the Party

Updated: Jun 23, 2020

As I sit down here to write this post it dawns on me that I should have done this a month ago! While a lot of people are in the dawn of a new era #WFH era! I do feel as though I have been working from home since I started working on my passion project 'Hanworth House', I have definitely spent more time here than my home for the last 5 years.

While my working from (Hanworth) home hasn't been impacted we did have to close our doors to everyone except current residents for the first time ever and create boundaries for those already living here. Normally, we would be heading full steam ahead into event and wedding season, planning nuptials and birthdays but 2020 will remain a more somber year.

While some others may not be taking the current climate as seriously as the should (sun baking on the beach is #essential for some) we have been taking social distancing very seriously and I might say it has had a somewhat beneficial impact on my life.

My calendar currently looks incredibly different to usual, now full of Zoom meetings, and as a result I was actually home the other day to see the sunset, I cannot tell you the last time I experienced that. A small sense of relief has come over me in the evenings when I don't need to rush from one place to another. Will we continue to keep a slower life once the restrictions are lifted? We will see.

If any of the following applies to you please take note;

"I believe sun baking on the beach is essential!" - Try La Beach tan at home instead, it will change your life.

"I am going stir crazy at home by myself!" - Touch base with some family or friends use FaceTime, zoom or HouseParty so you can see their face it's have a much better impact.

"I have nowhere to wear my new outfit!" - Try dressing up for a zoom date or join thousands of others who are dressing up for bin day, if you're a bit late to the party and don't know what I mean follow @binisolationouting on instagram

While it may take the rest of the year (and next) for us all to recover, there is a light at the end of the tunnel but if you are having a tough time reach out to someone! And hopefully 2021 will be the best year yet!
