The sprawling outer verandas and robust but elegant buildings that make Hanworth House hold many secrets, but they also physically hide a secret place, not revealed until the ’threshold’ is crossed and the Hanworth adventure begins.
The FOUR WINGS of Hanworth House embrace an internal courtyard of grassed lawns, historical plantings, commemorative art instalments, statues and a reinstatement of a citrus grove that has connections to eras past. A keen and careful eye will note a railing on the roof of the Norman Wing. What could that be?
